Abstract

The study examined the impact of employee turnover on the organizational performance in the Royal Salt Limited, Lagos, Nigeria with the specific objective to: assess the impact of voluntary employee turnover on the organizational efficiency; and ascertain the impact of involuntary employee turnover on the organizational effectiveness. The study adopted simple random sampling technique through the administration of questionnaire. The descriptive statistics used encompassed simple percentages and tables, while inferential statistics used was regression analysis. The findings of the study confirmed: a significant and positive impact of voluntary employee return on the organizational efficiency; and a significant impact of involuntary employee return on the organizational effectiveness. The study therefore recommended the offer of challenging, but unambiguous tasks to the workers in an environment that suitable for the advancement of their careers, while equally providing them with adequate and just compensations.
